Anica Academy is a non-profit Foundation devoted to audiovisual basic and highly specialized training for young, early career and professional targets, with a focus on the companies and their production mechanisms. We were born in October 2020 to respond to the growing demand of skilled and specialized roles in the market. We have the ambition to give this industry a new vision that is broad, contemporary and aware.
With over 2000 hours of lectures delivered, about 250 students, and more than 100 professionals directly involved as trainers every year, Anica Academy ETS continues its commitment to providing a cutting-edge and interdisciplinary training offer, mainly targeting at professionals, with specialized courses aimed at supporting career changes and expanding job opportunities.
Anica Academy is deeply connected to the industry; our aim is to foster connections between talents and the real needs of the market.
In fact, we originate from the union of Italy’s leading audiovisual trade association with top players in the sector: ANICA (Confindustria-member Association representing several categories of Italian companies within the Film, Audiovisual and Digital Industry), Medusa – Mediaset Group, Netflix, Rai, Paramount Global, Vision Distribution – Sky Group, Gaumont Italia, Fondazione EOS – Edison Orizzonte Sociale, and LABS – FAPAV (Training branch of the national non-profit association for the protection of Audiovisual and multimedial content to safeguard intellectual property, copyright and related rights and to contrast all the forms of illegal duplication of cinematographic and audiovisual works).
In our courses indeed, teachers, Project Managers and Scientific Advisors are the top professonals in the field, the ones who actually carry out the job every day: a guarantee of quality for our training programs, tailored to the actual needs of the industry and in direct contact with the most sought-after market experts.
Our Courses cover the whole production chain, from screenwriting to marketing and distribution, with a focus on innovative and brand-new training projects, aligned with international benchmark but developed in Italy. Courses such as Head of Production for Animation, ESG Sustainability for the audiovisual sector, and Intimacy Coordinator are unique programs in the international and/or national landscape and prove how innovation and sustainability are key concepts for Anica Academy.
We embrace and promote the highest standards of diversity and inclusion, in terms of disability, ethnicity, gender and age:
High social impact programs for under-19s, led by top professionals, to explore languages, techniques, and skills, helping students discover their direction and develop their talents.
Anica Academy designs programs with a high social impact for young people, with the goal of making the audiovisual industry more accessible, inclusive, and representative of new generations. By exploring storytelling languages, techniques, and professional skills, participants are supported by established industry professionals as they begin to imagine a future for themselves in the world of moving images — often discovering paths they did not know were possible.
Launched in 2023, the Summer School is a career orientation program created for students who have developed a strong interest in the audiovisual field but may not yet have clear guidance, networks, or access to professional environments. The program offers a safe and inspiring space to experiment, grow, and gain a deeper understanding of the many creative and technical roles within the industry, helping young talents make informed choices about their future.
Within the framework of the National Cinema and Images for Schools Plan (CIPS), promoted by the Italian Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education and Merit, Anica Academy also delivers visual literacy and career orientation initiatives for primary, middle, and high schools. These activities use cinema and audiovisual language as tools for expression, critical thinking, and social inclusion, while introducing students to potential educational and professional pathways.
All programs are fully funded, removing financial barriers to participation.
