Alessandro Amato

Born in 1987, Alessandro Amato is the co-founder and sole director of dispàrte. He graduated in Film Production from the Scuola d’Arte Cinematografica Gian Maria Volonté in Rome, having previously earned a Master’s degree in Law, studying at Bocconi University in Milan and Roma Tre University. Since 2008, he has gained professional experience in theatre, audiovisual production and the organisation of cultural events. He has produced films that have been selected and awarded prizes at major international festivals. In 2022, he was among the 20 European producers selected for the PRODUCER ON THE MOVIE programme at the Cannes Film Festival. He is part of the ACE, EAVE and Berlinale Talents networks and is a member of the AGICI board. He teaches film and audiovisual production at Sapienza University and the Scuola d’Arte Cinematografica Gian Maria Volonté.
