Andrea De Candido

A lifelong film enthusiast, he graduated in Venice with a thesis on the early works of Emir Kusturica. After working as a film club organiser, he was a finalist three times in the Adelio Ferrero Film Critics’ Award. As a journalist, he has contributed to CIAK, Donna Moderna and Kataweb, written for Carte di Cinema and, in 2002, founded the online magazine Kinematrix. In the same year, he joined the Cinecity multiplex chain, overseeing the press office and the magazine EYE, before becoming Head of Communications and Marketing. In 2011, he moved to The Space Cinema, where he was initially Head of Local Marketing before becoming Head of Marketing in 2019. Among other activities, he has served on the international jury for Trieste Science+Fiction, the Genoa Film Festival and the K3 Festival (Villach), and has given several lectures at the universities of Rome La Sapienza, LUISS and Tor Vergata.
