Andrea Occhipinti

Founder of Lucky Red and active since 1987 in the production and distribution of independent films, Andrea Occhipinti has introduced Italian audiences to directors of the calibre of Robert Altman, Alejandro Amenábar, Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne, Atom Egoyan, Michael Haneke, Wong Kar-wai, Hayao Miyazaki, Frank Oz and Lars von Trier. Since 2016, with Lucky Red, he has established a division dedicated to production, including films such as: La Befana vien di notte (Lucky Red, Rai Cinema, Morena Films, 2018), 18 Regali (Lucky Red, 3 Marys Entertainment, Rai Cinema, Vision Distribution, Sky Italia, 2018) and Sotto il sole di Riccione (Lucky Red, 2020), Io sono Babbo Natale (Lucky Red, 3 Marys Entertainment, Rai Cinema, 2021) and Freaks out (Goon Films, Lucky Red, Rai Cinema, GapBustera, 2021) . President of the distributors’ section of ANICA from 2013 to 2018, he is currently a majority shareholder in Circuito Cinema.
