Barbara Cappi

Born and raised in Milan, she has been happily living in Rome for 20 years. After completing a three-year diploma in Film and Television Editing at the Civica in Milan, in 1989 she undertook a Master’s degree in Filmmaking at New York University (USA). Since 1990, she has worked as a television and drama writer, primarily for the Mediaset and RAI networks, and has since joyfully practised the art of popular national entertainment. She is the writer of hugely popular entertainment programmes (among many others, Stranamore, C’è posta per te, Tú sí que vales, and the Sanremo Festival); a screenwriter of sitcoms for the Mediaset networks (Finalmente soli, Nonno Felice, Due per tre and many others); and the author of two novels centred on the female world behind the scenes of the popular TV show C’è posta per te.
