Carlotta Ca’ Zorzi

Carlotta Ca’ Zorzi is Head of Legal and Business Affairs at Fandango, one of Italy’s leading independent film and television production companies, where she has been responsible since 2020 for managing the negotiation, legal and contractual aspects of film and audiovisual productions, applications for public funding (tax credits, national, regional and European funds, etc.), as well as international co-productions and partnerships with broadcasters, distributors and streaming platforms.
With in-depth knowledge of copyright and media law and solid experience in the media and entertainment sector, she headed the Legal and Regulatory Affairs department at La7 S.p.A. (Cairo Communication Group) for seven years, also managing relations with independent authorities and the relevant ministries. She was also a member — from 2019 to 2023 — of the Permanent Advisory Committee on Copyright.
Previously, she worked at Telecom Italia Media S.p.A. (Telecom Italia’s media subsidiary, which owned La7, MTV and the current Timvision) in various roles, including managing the transition from analogue to digital terrestrial television, as well as the Group’s regulatory and institutional affairs.
In the past, she was involved in the planning of European structural funds for businesses and in projects funded by Sviluppo Italia. She holds a degree in Political Science (specialising in economics and international relations) from the University of Padua (1996) and has an international background, having obtained her IB diploma at the United World College of the Atlantic in Wales, UK, and studied at the University of St Andrews in Scotland and Boston University, MA, USA. She has also undertaken internships and research projects at the European Parliament and the European Commission in Brussels. She is bilingual in Italian and English. Since 2024, she has been a Member of the Board of Directors of the European Producers Club.
