Carlotta Calori

She is a producer and one of the partners at the film production company Indigo Film, which she founded in 1994 alongside Nicola Giuliano and Francesca Cima. Over the course of its 30-year history, Indigo has worked with some of Italy’s most influential directors, including Sergio Castellitto, Mario Martone, Riccardo Milani, Gabriele Salvatores and Paolo Sorrentino, for whom — among others — she produced “The Great Beauty”, the film that won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2014. For television, she produced the series La compagnia del cigno created by Ivan Cotroneo and Non Mentire, directed by Gianluca Tavarelli, the Italian remake of the British series Liar. She worked for Film-alpha; then for Orbit as a producer of documentaries and film programmes and as a senior producer for film-themed channels. She graduated in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Bristol, holds a master’s degree in “Film and Audiovisual Business Management” from ANICA, and attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia.
