Eleonora Recalcati

A professor, screenwriter, story editor, and editorial consultant, Eleonora Recalcati is active in the fields of education and film and television production.
Since 2000, she has worked as a story editor at Lux Vide on projects such as Don Matteo (Lux Vide, Rai Fiction) and Che Dio ci aiuti (Lux Vide, Rai Fiction, 2011), as well as the TV series Maggie & Bianca Fashion Friends (Rainbow, Rai Fiction, 2016), for which she also served as a screenwriter; she also works as a screenwriter for Marta & Eva (3Zero2 and Rai Ragazzi, 2021).
As a freelance editor and editorial consultant, she collaborates with numerous publishing houses, including Rai Libri, Solferino, Rizzoli, and Mondadori, and publishes articles and essays on the semiotics of cinema, as well as the historical novel Esploreremo le stelle, for Hoepli.
After a long career organizing the Master’s program in International Screenwriting and Production, where she served as a professor and tutor, she is now a professor at the Catholic University of Milan for the master’s degree program The Art and Industry of Narration and for the Booktelling Master’s program. Since 2021, she has been teaching at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart; since 2025, she has been teaching at the Luchino Visconti Civic Film School; and since 2026, she has also been teaching at the Belleville School of Writing.
