Francesca Magliulo

Francesca joined Edison over 20 years ago to study the historical photographic archive. Following her studies and research into industrial history, she began her career in the company’s communications department, immediately taking on environmental and social projects. Her personal passion for sustainable development coincided with the company’s journey in the field of corporate social responsibility, which took formal shape in 2009 with the establishment of the Sustainability function, which she led until 2021. Her work on the sustainability of strategies and business processes was complemented by stakeholder engagement activities, social projects and participation in national and international networks and working groups dedicated to these issues. In particular, she helped found the United Nations Global Compact Network Italy and sits on its board of directors, focusing specifically on human rights and inclusion; she is also involved with the Centre for Corporate Culture and, for the past few years, has been a member of the Board of Directors of the University of Tuscia in Viterbo. She devotes much of her free time to rugby, developing educational, social and cultural transformation projects. For many years she had been considering the creation of a social foundation, and the pandemic period provided the necessary impetus to develop a project that would strengthen Edison’s social dimension and foster a genuine cultural transformation among its people. Since 2025, she has also been a member of the scientific committee at the Centre for Corporate Culture, and since 2025 she has been a member of the executive board of the Sport for Inclusion Network.
