A writer and screenwriter, Francesca Serafini is the author of numerous books, including: Questo è il punto. Istruzioni per l’uso della punteggiatura, Di calcio non si parla, Lui, io, noi (co-written with Dori Ghezzi and Giordano Meacci), and Tre madri.
She has been writing screenplays for television and cinema for several years: with Claudio Caligari and Giordano Meacci, she wrote Non essere cattivo, which was awarded the title of Film of the Year at the Nastri d’Argento in 2016 and the Sergio Amidei Award for Best Screenplay. Also in collaboration with Giordano Meacci, she wrote Fabrizio De André – Principe libero in 2018 and Carosello Carosone, which received the Flaiano Award for Best Screenplay in 2021.
