COURSES:
After more than thirty years in political and institutional roles — as a member of the Chamber of Deputies, Member of the European Parliament, Senator, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture — he served as President of ANICA, the association representing the cinema, audiovisual and digital industries, from 2016 to 2024. During this period, he founded Anica Academy, Videocittà, the International Festival of Moving Images and the Soft Power Club, and coordinates associations and volunteer initiatives dedicated to cultural heritage and the environment. He was the first directly elected Mayor of Rome (1993–2001) and the most voted-for mayor in the city’s history.
