Giacomo Durzi

Giacomo Durzi has worked as a screenwriter, director and story editor/creative producer for networks such as NBC Universal Italy and Fox Channels Italy, amongst others, contributing to the development of productions for companies including Mediavivere, ITC Movie (now IBC Movie), Studio Canal, Red Bull Media Company, Ascent Film, Vivo Film and IIF.
As a screenwriter, he has penned several short- and long-form TV series, including I Cesaroni, La nuova squadra, Distretto di polizia, Romanzo Siciliano, the three seasons of In Treatment (Sky) and, more recently, The Comedians (Sky), Maura Delpero’s film Maternal (produced by Disparte-Vivo Film), and the series for which he is creator and head writer, Baby (Netflix) and Il grande gioco (Sky).
As a writer and director, he has produced programmes for channels such as Fox Life, Rai (La storia siamo noi), La7 (Victory, Senza tituli), and over the years has written and directed television documentaries of various genres, the most recent of which is Ferrante Fever (Rai Cinema-Sky-Artè).
In recent years, he has worked as a consultant in the role of story editor and creative producer for SKY’s original productions, most recently Il Miracolo and Anna.
He currently holds the position of Head of Development at Picomedia (Asacha Group). As a script consultant and tutor for various institutions such as TorinoFilmLab, Biennale College Cinema, Cine Link drama series and IDM-Alto Adige Film Commission, he has provided editorial consultancy for international broadcasters such as Canal Plus and TRT (the Turkish state broadcaster), he has taught serial storytelling at the Scuola Holden, the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, and the German film schools DFFB in Berlin and IFS in Cologne. Since November 2025, he has been Co-Executive Producer for both Fabula Pictures and Colorado Film Production.
