Giovanni Pompili has been at the helm of Kino Produzioni since 2012, focusing on the development of a new generation of talent, often through international co-productions. His most recent projects have been presented at major film festivals, including: Polvo serán by Carlos Marques-Marcet, Best Film at the Toronto International Film Festival; Quell’estate con Irène by Carlo Sironi, presented at the Berlin Film Festival – Generation 14Plus; Puan by Benjamin Naishtat and Maria Alché, Concha de Oro for Best Screenplay; La bella estate by Laura Luchetti, presented at Locarno Piazza Grande 2023; Alcarràs by Carla Simón, winner of the Golden Bear at the Berlinale 2022; Delta by Michele Vannucci, premiered at Locarno Piazza Grande; and Sole by Carlo Sironi, awarded Best First Film at the European Film Awards 2020.
He is a member of the European Film Academy, ACE, Berlinale Talents, Eurodoc and TFL Alumni. Since 2022, he has been founder and director of the Green Film Lab, and since 2025, national coordinator of EAVE.
