Lucia Carta

She has been with Netflix since January 2019, based in Amsterdam, and since 2021 has held the role of Senior Director of Business & Legal Affairs – Italy for Netflix, based in Rome.
She currently heads the team responsible for negotiating and drafting all production and acquisition contracts for Italian content intended for streaming on the Netflix service.
From 2003 to 2018 at RTI/Mediaset, she headed the Business Affairs division of the Rights Department and was responsible for negotiating and drafting licence agreements with major studios and independent Italian and foreign producers for the acquisition of content intended for distribution across the company’s various channels, including Free TV, Pay TV and on-demand services.
Prior to her career in the television sector, she worked in publishing contracts and, after completing a postgraduate master’s degree in ‘copyright in the media industry’, she worked in the film distribution and home video sector.
