Marzia Macchiarella

A professional in the audiovisual and media sector with around twenty years’ experience, she specializes in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), with a focus on disability management and accessibility.
As the first Access Coordinator in Italy, she facilitates and oversees the work of people with disabilities, deaf people and/or those with neurodivergent conditions in audiovisual productions. She also works as a freelance DEI consultant for companies and organizations in the sector, delivering training on gender equality, inclusion, accessibility and the representation of diversity.
She has a background in acquisition, commissioning, programming and project management for media companies and broadcasters. Her training as a creative producer enables her to explore DEI-related issues from both a strategic and creative perspective.
She is a board member and Co-Head of DEI at Women in Film, Television & Media Italia, an association that promotes gender equality on and off screen.
