Sara Furio

Previously at Warner Bros in Los Angeles and now Head of Netflix’s International Original Film department, she moved to the role of Head of Italy Original Film from 2022 to 2023. She oversees films produced in Italy, having previously managed numerous film markets, ranging from Hollywood to Bollywood.
Also for Netflix, she has worked in the offices in Los Angeles, Amsterdam, London and Rome, and in 2018 she launched an initiative focusing on Netflix original films for and from Italy, kick-starting several projects, including: Sulla mia pelle (Cinemaundici, Lucky Red, Netflix, 2018), Lo spietato (Bibi Film, Rai Cinema, Indie Prod, 2019), Sotto il sole di Riccione (Lucky Red, 2020), The Life Ahead (Palomar, 2020) and Il divin Codino (Fabula Pictures, 2021).
She also spearheaded the partnership between Netflix and Mediaset announced in 2019.
